FROM THE READING THE ENTERPRISE IN FARAWAY PLACES GALLERY Go Boston Red Sox
Rita and Steve Brannan of Panora enjoyed a vacation to the city of Boston, MA from July 15 through the 20th. Daughter Amanda McPartlin of Chicago, IL joined them for the weekend. They are pictured above reading Steve’s hometown newspaper, the Coon Rapids Enterprise. They are standing near ‘4 Yawkey Way’, famous as the address of Fenway Park and home of the beloved Red Sox. The street runs along the west side of Fenway Park and is closed to traffic on game days and lined with concession and souvenir vendors. The street is named after Tom Yawkey, owner of the Red Sox from 1933-1976. In addition to attending a Red Sox game, they also toured the JFK Presidential Library and Museum, walked the Freedom Trail, went on a Boston Harbor Cruise, ate lunch at the Cheers Bar, and saw many other historical sights.
Steve’s other favorite baseball team is the CRB Crusaders and he attends many of their games to cheer on Waddle and the boys.
